AC stops working in Mumbai-local-train, commuters bring train to halt
What's the story
Some commuters traveling by Mumbai's suburban AC train pulled the chain of Virar-Churchgate train on Friday, bringing the local to a halt at Andheri station after finding that the air-conditioning was not functioning.
The passengers of some coaches said since the doors of the locals were kept shut for air-conditioning and there was no ventilation, which led to suffocation and sweating.

"Ever since the local train left Borivali station, we found that the coach was not cooling. Initially, we thought that the AC would start soon. But despite crossing few stations on the way, there was no sign of it," a passenger said.
Technical glitches
Train won't operate till technical glitches get over: Western Railway
The Western Railway, later, tweeted that due to the technical glitches in some of the coaches, the train will not operate till the restoration work gets over.
Chief spokesperson of WR, Ravinder Bhakar, said the train operations will start as soon as the technical problems in the three coaches are fixed.
Last Friday, the WR had canceled the AC train service for maintenance work.
