Mumbai: Three drug peddlers arrested; Rs. 2.1-lakh-worth drugs seized
The Mumbai Police's Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested three persons, including two foreign nationals, with drugs in South Mumbai. The ANC has also seized contraband like mephedrone and ecstasy drug worth Rs. 2.1 lakh from them, according to officials. Two drug peddlers were arrested near Eastern Freeway at Reay Road while the other was caught near Wadi Bunder. Here's more.
One Ivory Coast national and Bandra resident arrested
In the first case, personnel from the Azad Maidan unit of the ANC laid a trap near Eastern Freeway at Reay Road and nabbed a 22-year-old Ivory Coast national, John Peter, and a 28-year-old resident of Mumbai's Bandra, Abu Abrar Seham, along with drugs worth Rs. 1.26L. A taxi that was being used to ferry drugs was also seized, police added.
Another foreign national arrested
On the same day, in a second case, ANC officials arrested 24-year-old Vincent Koman, also a foreign national, near Mumbai's Wadi Bunder with drugs, officials said. Further investigations are on, an officer said.
