BJP leader Mukul Roy's brother-in-law arrested for duping railway job-seekers
What's the story
West Bengal Police has arrested BJP leader Mukul Roy's brother-in-law Srijan Roy from New Delhi airport late last night for allegedly taking money from several people on the pretext of providing them jobs in railways, an official said.
Complaints against the former Trinamool Congress MP were filed six years ago in 2012.
The district court remanded him to 12 days of police custody.

Srijan Roy was arrested under following sections
Various charges under different sections of IPC including 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using a forged document as genuine), including others have been slapped against the arrested accused.

Describing the arrest as "political-conspiracy", Mukul Roy, who was the Union Railway Minister in 2012, said he was the actual target of the move.
"This is a conspiracy hatched by TMC supremo and WB CM Mamata Banerjee against me and my family members. She is resorting to such things because she is afraid of BJP. I'm the real target of this conspiracy," Roy said.
