Jharkhand: Miscreants snatch Rs. 54L from ICICI employee, guard
Motorcycle-borne miscreants today snatched Rs. 54L from an ICICI bank employee and guard when they were on their way to fill cash in an ATM near Zilla School chowk under Medininagar police station, Palamau, Jharkhand. The miscreants hit their two-wheeler, following which they lost their control over the bike and fell down. The accused then snatched the cash stuffed in two bags.
Snatching happened due to bank authorities' negligence: Police
SP Indrajeet Mahatha said it wasn't a loot incident but a case of snatching owing to sheer negligence on part of bank authorities. The van was stopped about 200m away from ATM counter even though it was a motorable road. The guard had also left behind his weapon in the vehicle. They didn't even raise an alarm when the cash was snatched, he added.
