Almost 42% of Indians spend an average of 6-10 hours researching online for deals on hotels, airlines or combo offers before booking a week-long holiday, an online survey revealed.

The survey was conducted by Access Media International, on behalf of Expedia.

It was conducted from 30 May-25 June, across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune, among 600 employed adults aged 18yrs and above.

Around 23% of respondents spend 11-30 hours and 20% spend more than 30 hours on research and planning while booking a week-long holiday.

It showed that 93% of respondents book their hotels within a week of booking their flights tickets.
