    What's the story

One of the most sought after courses in India is the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course, by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

The course, divided into 3 stages, is one of the toughest to crack, but with smart and hard work, one can make it.

Here are common mistakes you need to avoid while preparing for the CA exams.

    Memorizing, Selective

Don't rely on mindless memorizing, and selective study

Memorizing: There's only one way of saying it- memorizing stuff up won't help you crack the highly-competitive CA exams. These exams are professional in nature, and demand long-term self-study for understanding the underlying concepts.

Selective study: Though it is mindful to devote more time on the expected topics, but in order to improve your chances, you must not leave any topic in the syllabus.

    You're
    33%
    through

    Practice, Revision

Don't forget to make time for practice and revision

Practice: Of course learning comes first, but once you've gotten good understanding of all the concepts, start solving past years' papers and mock test papers. This will help you get the knack of paper pattern, difficulty levels, time management, and most importantly- your own strong points and weaknesses.

Revision: Make enough time for revision before the exam day, so to leave no stone unturned.

    You're
    66%
    through

    Information

Time management is vital for cracking CA exams

Time management is of utmost importance during the exam. Don't waste time on a single problem. Instead, devote time to problems according to their marks weightage. This will help improve your score and increase chances of cracking the exams.
