The crime allegedly occurred inside the school's restroom on January 2, but came to light a month later when the girl's parents informed the headmistress about the assault.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with community members demanding strict action against the accused.
Action taken
Investigation initiated, accused teachers arrested
Upon learning of the incident during a home visit as the girl had been absent from school for long, the headmistress immediately informed the district Child Line.
This set an official investigation in motion and the police were informed.
The Krishnagiri all-women police team arrested the three accused teachers on Wednesday.
They have been charged under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and are currently in 15-day police custody.

Accused teachers suspended, victim receives medical support
Krishnagiri collector C Dinesh Kumar confirmed "the three teachers have been suspended by the District Education Officer (DEO) and arrested under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act)."
He also clarified rumors about the girl having an abortion were untrue and confirmed she was not pregnant.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment at Krishnagiri Government Medical College and Hospital, along with mental health support from psychiatrists and psychologists.

Public protests erupt, authorities assure justice
The incident has sparked public protests by the victim's family, relatives, and locals demanding justice.
Krishnagiri SP P Thangadurai promised the protesters that "the culprits would not be spared."
Meanwhile, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami slammed Chief Minister M K Stalin, saying "girls are not safe in govt schools and colleges," and demanded accountability from Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) ministers over safety in educational institutions.
