Dehradun 11-year-old in hospital after thrashing by school principal
An 11-year-old boy, a student of Class 5 at Government Primary School in Dehradun's Old Dalanwala area (Uttarakhand), was hospitalized after his principal allegedly beat him up with an iron rod. Rahul complained about the quality of food being served in mid-day meal to Principal Nasrin Bano. This angered her and she thrashed him, following which the boy fell unconscious.
Principal was suspended after primary investigations
Rahul's friends brought him home and his parents rushed him to a hospital. His father, Dharmendra Paswan, has lodged a complaint, following which a probe has been initiated, the police added. Reportedly, Rahul's condition was stable. "The school principal was suspended after preliminary investigations confirmed severe injuries to the child," said Chief Education Officer of Dehradun, SB Joshi.
