What's the story
The Magaral Police in Tamil Nadu has removed a temple hoarding featuring the image of former adult film star Mia Khalifa in Kancheepuram following criticisms.
According to India Today, the hoarding was part of the decorations for Aadi Perukku, a festival in which temples across Tamil Nadu worship Goddess Amman (Parvati).
As part of the festivities, lights and hoardings were put up at the Nagathamman and Selliyamman temples in Kuruvimalai.

One such hoarding featured an altered image of Khalifa, alongside pictures of deities and men who erected the hoarding. The men had also added their names in Aadhaar card format to identify them better.
The image was modified to depict Khalifa carrying a paal kudam (milk vessel), a traditional offering during the festival.
After the image went viral, the police quickly arrived at the location and removed it.
