#CBSEResults2019: 13 students top Class-10 with 499/500, jointly bag AIR-1
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) finally announced the much-awaited results for 2018-19 Class-10 Board Examinations on Monday only three days after declaring the Class-12 results. This year, the first position in the Class-10 exams is shared by a total of 13 students. These toppers have secured 499 out of 500 marks, jointly bagging the first rank. Names of the students who have topped CBSE Class-10 exams
These 13 joint toppers of the CBSE Class 10 exams have secured a score of 99.8% (499 out of 500 marks). According to NDTV, the toppers are Siddhant Pengoriya, Divyansh Wadhwa, Yogesh Kumar Gupta, Ankur Mishra, Vatsal Varshney, Manya, Aryan Jha, Taru Jain, Bhavana N Sivadas, Ish Madan, Divjot Kaur Jaggi, Apoorva Jain, and Shivani Lath.
Siddhant Pengoriya and Divyansh Wadhwa are from Noida
Siddhant Pengoriya is a student of Lotus Valley International School in Noida while Divyansh Wadhwa is from Bal Bharti Public School in Noida and Yogesh Kumar Gupta is from St. Patrick's School in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Ankur Mishra is a student of SAJ School in Ghaziabad, Vatsal Varshney from Dewan Public School in Meerut, and Manya from St. Xavier's School in Bhatinda, Punjab.

Aryan Jha is from Jamnagar's Nand Vidya Niketan, Taru Jain is from Jaipur's St. Angela Sophia Senior Secondary School, and Bhavana N Sivadas from Palghat Lions School in Kerala's Koppam. Ish Madan is from Ghaziabad's Ch. Chhabil Dass Public School, Divjot Kaur Jaggi from Ambala's Convent of Jesus & Mary, Apoorva Jain from Ghaziabad's Uttam School for Girls, Shivani Lath from Noida's Mayoor School.

Taru Jain, one of the 13 toppers, was quoted by news agency ANI as saying, "I feel really good, used to study for 4-5 hours. I want to pursue Economics (Honours) from Delhi University. Had support from parents, teachers, and principal."

24 students share second rank in Class 10 exams
While 13 students shared the first rank this year, 24 students jointly bagged the second rank in the CBSE Class 10 exams, securing 498/500 marks. Meanwhile, as many as 58 students shared the third rank with 497 marks this year. This year, 18.19 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams which started on 21 February and ended on 29 March.
Transgender students outperform girls and boys this time
For the 2018-19 CBSE Class 10 exams, the overall pass percentage was 91.1%. This year, the Trivandrum region has topped this list with the highest pass percentage of 99.85%, followed by Chennai with 99% and Ajmer with 95.89%. With a pass percentage of 94.74%, transgender students outperformed both girls (92.45% pass percentage) and boys (90.14% pass percentage) this time.
