Shloka is a 'diamond princess'
Just like Akash, Shloka also hails from an influential family. Her father Russell Mehta is a billionaire diamond merchant in India. Russell owns Rosy Blue Diamonds which is ranked among the top six diamond companies in the country. Besides, Shloka is also associated with the Jatias of Hardcastle Restaurants as her elder sister Diya is married to Ayush Jatia.
Akash's would-be-wife is highly qualified
Shloka has been a bright student all her life. She did her schooling from Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Shloka did her graduation in Anthropology from Princeton University in New Jersey, USA. She later completed her Master's degree in Law from the London School of Economics in 2014. After completing her studies, Shloka became the director of her father's company Rosy Blue Diamonds.
Shloka also runs NGO 'ConnectFor'
Shloka is also a social worker and co-founded the NGO ConnectFor which is an online volunteering platform under the aegis of Rosy Blue Diamonds. Their mission is "to demonstrate the value of human resource for non-profit organizations, by creating high-value matches based on an organization's needs, and an individual's time and skills". Despite being an active social worker, Shloka prefers maintaining a low profile.
Shloka's net worth will surprise you
According to a Finapp report, Shloka has a net worth of $18 million (around Rs. 120 crore) as estimated in 2018. This is evident from her impressive collection of luxury cars which includes a Bentley, a Mercedes Benz and a Mini Cooper.
Akash and Shloka are childhood sweethearts
Shloka grabbed the headlines after she got engaged to Akash Ambani in June 2018. Interestingly, the two have been childhood sweethearts who have known each other for over two decades now. However, it was in March 2018 that Akash popped the question to Shloka during a private ceremony in Goa. While their engagement was a starry affair, Akash-Shloka also had a lavish pre-engagement bash.
Akash-Shloka wedding invitations are out
Meanwhile, the preparations for Akash and Shloka's big day have begun. Mukesh and Nita Ambani offered the first wedding invitation to Lord Ganesha at Siddhivinayak Temple. Reportedly, the pre-wedding festivities will begin with Akash's three-day bachelor party on February 23. He will zoom off to Switzerland with his friends. After their wedding, Akash-Shloka will also host a grand wedding reception in Mumbai on March 11.
