In the ad, McDonald's executives impose their choice on customers
In the video advertisement, a McDonald's executive tells incoming customers that their choice of meal isn't available, imposes their choice over the customer, or informs them that theirs is the only one meal available. Baffled and some frustrated customers demand their right to choose, which is when the executive informs them that they relinquished that right when they decided against voting.

In the 2014 elections, 280 million Indians did not vote
The advertisement drives the point home that by choosing not to vote, eligible voters are basically settling for what's already being served, literally! In the 2014 elections, 280 million Indians didn't vote. Interestingly, 2014 also recorded the highest voter turnout ever at 66.4%. Of course, if the EVMs malfunction, as several reports across states suggest, you have to settle for those metaphorical stale fries.
