Two-girls in Mathura approach police for help to 'get married'
Two women, who claim to be majors, have approached the police in Mathura for help, saying they want to get married but their parents were opposing their relationship, a police official said. "The two work in a beauty parlor and developed affinity during the last four years. While one of them belongs to Mant area, the other is from Siddharth Nagar," an officer said.
Girls were counseled; but they appeared to be adamant: DSP
"On Sunday evening, the girls contacted Harendra Pal Singh, SHO Jamuna Paar police station, and sought his help for their marriage. They said they were facing opposition from family members," DSP Rakesh Kumar said. "Both the girls were counseled to change their decision by police but, presently, they appear adamant," he said. Kumar said the girls have gone back to their families for now.
