India and Manipur are progressing under the Modi government: CM
What's the story
"The country has been progressing well under the BJP-led Central government," Manipur CM N Biren Singh has said.
The minister, who was speaking at an event for completion of 4-years of BJP-led government at the Center, said Manipur is also marching ahead as the Modi government has paid special attention to the state.
He thanked Center for setting up a National Sports University here.

False claims
BJP had befooled people by making false claims, says Congress
But opposition Congress leader and former CM O Ibobi Singh alleged that the people of the country now realized that BJP had befooled them by making false promises during campaigns.
He further said the prices of petrol and diesel were at an all-time high with the Modi government having fleeced Rs. 10-lakh-crore from people's pockets in last 4-years by raising excise duty 11 times.

'BJP failed to bring back black money from foreign countries'
Former Deputy CM Gaikhangam added the BJP had betrayed the people of the country by making false promises as the government had failed to bring back black money from foreign countries.
Ibobi along with Gaikhangam joined the nation-wide protest launched by AICC and organized by the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) at the Congress Bhawan.
