Desperate for marriage, man swallows metal objects on tantrik's advice
Blind faith landed a Uttar Pradesh man in a hospital, with his stomach having items like mobile phone, keys, wire, and glass. Bilgram resident Ajay Dwivedi swallowed metal objects after a tantrik told him it would get him married. The 42-year-old, desperate for a wedding sought help from a tantrik and found himself in a hospital bed, instead.
Doctors shocked to see metal objects inside body
Dwivedi was first asked to follow religious instructions by the tantrik, but it escalated to this life-threatening activity. When he visited a private hospital complaining of a stomach ache, he was advised to undergo an X-ray. The doctors were shocked to see metal objects in his body, and immediately conducted an operation to extract the objects from the body.
Dwivedi might be suffering from medical condition, say doctors
The surgeon S.K. Singh said that chances are Dwivedi might be suffering from a medical condition. He further revealed people having suicidal thoughts sometimes swallow metal objects.
Tantriks have made Indians do scary things
However, this is not the first such case. In March this year, a government employee from New Delhi poisoned her husband on tantrik's advice in a bid to bring peace to her family. In Rajasthan, parents kept dead body of their 35-year-old daughter for 40 days, after a tantrik said they could resurrect her.
