Delhi: Man's headless, armless body found in bag near DU
Sunday started out on a real sore note for this man, who found a black plastic bag near the Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa college bus stop in Delhi University's North Campus. Blood was oozing out of it. In it lay the body of a man, minus the head and arms. Cops are yet to identify him, but have nonetheless registered a murder case.
Might have been killed somewhere else: Cops
The bag was spotted around 8AM, said DCP (North) Nupur Prasad, adding the body didn't have any bullet or stab wounds. He might have been killed somewhere else and dumped in North Campus, cops guessed. They are searching for other missing body parts. They are also asking other police stations in Delhi and adjoining states about anyone that went missing in the last week.
'His arms may have had his name tattooed'
Prasad said they have uploaded this man's torso's photo on the zonal integrated police network website for identification. "Our first priority is to identify the man. Once it's done, it'll become easy for us to establish the motive and identity of his killers." One officer said his arms might have been cut off as they "may have had identification marks, like his name tattooed."
CCTV footage being scanned, yet to get any lead
Till yesterday evening, investigators were scanning footage of CCTV cameras near the bus stop and roads leading to the crime spot. They are yet to get any lead. The body of the man aged 28-30 has been kept in the Sabzi Mandi mortuary for autopsy.
