Man lets friend rape his wife, calls it his fantasy
A shocking incident has come to fore from Mumbai, wherein a man is accused of raping his friend's wife with his "consent". The complaint was filed by the survivor in February this year, and a sessions court denied bail to the accused after being convinced that he was involved in the heinous crime. His counsel, however, claimed he was being "wrongly framed".
Woman married Merchant Navy officer, they shifted to own house
The alleged rape happened in Borivali between 2016 and 2018, reports Mumbai Mirror. The victim got married in 2009. Six years later along with her husband, who was a Merchant Navy Officer, she moved to their own flat. For eight months a year, her husband stayed on a ship and once he returned, he hosted a party where alcohol was served.
Husband forced friend to sleep with his wife
In one such party, the survivor claimed, her husband forced her to drink alcohol. Later, he asked his "friend" Hitesh Parate to sleep with her, and since "she was drunk, she couldn't resist." The next morning, her husband informed her about the incident. Parate was asked to "sleep with her" as it was her husband's fantasy, she alleged.
Apparently, her husband filmed abuse to blackmail her
The gruesome episode didn't stop there. The husband allegedly filmed the abuse and threatened the survivor that he would circulate the video among her relatives. He also said he would show it to their son. There were multiple instances when he forced her to sleep with other men. The husband is also accused of assaulting her sexually, causing her pain. He also terrorized her.
Cops arrested the husband, later Parate's involvement surfaced
Police registered a case under IPC Sections 376 (punishment for rape), 377 (unnatural offenses) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and also Section 66-B of IT Act 2000. After her husband was arrested, Parate's role in the crime came to light. Sessions judge AD Deo rejected the latter's bail saying his Facebook conversations show he was involved. Parate is a resident of Navi Mumbai.
While Parate claimed innocence, prosecution submitted facts
On his part, Parate's advocate claimed none of the 23 witnesses said anything about his role in the crime. The counsel also said the woman took time to lodge the case and didn't give a concrete reason behind this delay. However, the prosecution said her husband sent Parate a message in October 2018, asking him to "come for a massage". Subsequently, he raped her.
