From Jaguar, man peeps to spit pan-masala, dies after car-crash
A 27-year-old man succumbed to serious injuries after his Jaguar crashed on Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida. The man, identified as Prashant Kasana, peeped out of his Jaguar to spit pan masala and lost control of the vehicle, which rammed into a divider. The accident took place at around 6 PM on Thursday and 24 hours later, Kasana, a property dealer, died. Here's more.
Staff member saw Kasana lean outside to spit pan masala
According to a staff member of Yamuna Expressway's concessionaire, Kasana's vehicle was at high-speed. He allegedly saw Kasana lean outside the luxury sedan to spit something. "He lost control of the vehicle and it hit the central verge of the Expressway before coming to a halt," the staff member, Mahaveer said. Mahaveer and his colleague pulled out Kasana and took him to Kailash Hospital.
Police learned of the accident after 9 PM
"We received information about the accident only after 9 PM and a team was sent to remove the vehicle from the Expressway. We have not questioned the family yet and no case has been filed," said Arvind Pathak, station house officer, Knowledge Park police station.
From Kailash Hospital, Kasana was referred to Apollo, died there
He had suffered serious head injuries and was taken to ICU of the Kailash Hospital. "We kept him on ventilator support as he had sustained severe head injuries and a forearm fracture," a hospital representative said. Later, Kasana was referred to Apollo Hospital in Sarita Vihar, Delhi. A neighbor said his condition was extremely critical and that doctors told them his brain didn't recover.
