A 25-year-old man strangulated a woman he had met on Facebook with a shoelace because she refused him sex. The accused, Haridas Nirgude, had met 20-year-old Ankita More on the social media site and the two became friends, police said. Yesterday, he invited her to his home in Nallasopara and asked her for sexual favors. When she refused, he strangulated her to death.
