Shoe hurled at BJP MP during press conference in Delhi
What's the story
An unidentified man on Thursday hurled a shoe at BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao while he was addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
Rao was addressing reporters when the man threw a shoe at him. Other BJP leaders were also present there.
The man has, however, been nabbed by party workers and taken out of the venue.

Rao was attacking Congress for defaming Hindus
At the time of the incident, Narasimha Rao was attacking the Congress party for defaming Hindus and "foisting" false cases on Hindutva activists like Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur. Rao, the BJP spokesperson, termed the whole incident a "condemnable act" by a "Congress-inspired" person.

The man was a doctor by profession
Though it wasn't immediately clear why the man, who claimed he was a doctor by profession, flung shoes at the BJP leaders. At that time, GVL Narasimha Rao was addressing the media along with Bhupendra Yadav.
As soon as he threw the shoes, security guards at the BJP office bundled out the man; he would be handed over to the police.
