    What's the story

In a major security breach, a man gave PM Modi a portrait of Rabindranath Tagore breaking his safety cordon at the Visva Bharati convocation in WB's Santiniketan.

When Modi was leaving the dais, the man went up the platform to give him the portrait. Modi took the portrait and handed it over to his security personnel.

SPG personnel removed the man from the dais.

    Incident being probed

Vice Chancellor does not know the man

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had left the dais by then.

Multi-layer security arrangements had been put in place in Santiniketan in view of the visit by the dignitaries, which included West Bengal Governor, KN Tripathi.

Vice-Chancellor Sabujkali Sen said, "I have seen the incident. I don't know the person."

The police said the incident is being probed.
