Sons did not like the pet dog
Sai had tamed Jhabbu about a year ago. However, his two sons did not like it because it would chase and bite their mother, reported The New Indian Express (TNIE). Despite the altercations with his family, Sai insisted on keeping the dog at home. On Wednesday evening when he returned home from work, Sai found Jhabbu lying dead in a pool of blood.
Dog was killed in Sai's absence
Santdhari, Sai's 28-year-old son, teased Jhabbu and tried to play with him on Wednesday at around 5pm when Sai was not at home. When the dog didn't respond, Santdhari killed it with a sharp-edged weapon, reported HT. He was subsequently arrested for killing an animal under Section 429 of the IPC. TNIE report however claims that both the sons were arrested and later bailed.
