Uttar Pradesh youth commits suicide after marriage snub
A youth is said to have committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh after the family of a girl, with whom he was in love with, rejected their marriage, the police said on Monday. 26-year-old Pawan Kumar jumped before a train near a railway station in Shamli district on Sunday. Circle officer Ashok Kumar said that as per Pawan's suicide note, he has taken the extreme step after the girl's family rejected their marriage. The deceased's body has been sent for post-mortem, he added. In yet another incident, a youth apparently tried to commit suicide by shooting himself over a dispute with his wife in Muzaffarnagar district, a police official said.
