Ghaziabad: Man, accused of raping minor, lynched by locals
Residents of Loni, Ghaziabad lynched a man, who later succumbed to injuries on Friday night. He was accused of raping an 8-year-old. The 24-year-old man identified as Jitendra dropped his wife at a religious ceremony. He then brought the girl to his home, where he allegedly raped her. The police took both the victim and Jitendra to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Girl's tears led neighbors to learn about the deed: Police
The police said, "Neighbors caught hold of Jitendra after they noticed the child running out of his residence in tears." He was then attacked brutally by the neighbors. The police learned about the mob's action only after Jitendra was fatally injured.
Accused was intoxicated, girl's family have filed complaint
SP Ghaziabad AK Maurya said Jitendra was intoxicated at the time of the incident. The girl's family have filed a complaint related to the case. He added they rushed him to the hospital as soon as they could, but his injuries were fatal. The police hadn't registered a complaint against the mob, at the time of filing of this report.
