CM Mamata Banerjee to launch her book in Delhi tomorrow
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will launch her book 'India in Distress' in the national capital tomorrow. The TMC chief will also be a part of the Opposition meet tomorrow to strategize in pre-poll alliances against BJP for the upcoming general elections. Banerjee has so far published 87 books and has penned seven books this year, which were launched during Kolkata book fair.
Some of Banerjee's books are for children, some on politics
Kolkata Book Fair was held on January 31 this year, and Banerjee's books were released on the inaugural day. Among the seven books, some are for children, of poems in Bengali, Urdu and English and a couple of books on politics, in Hindi and Bengali.
The meeting will also discuss strategy on Pulwama terror attack
Banerjee will also meet the other Opposition parties' leaders in Parliament to chalk out a 'Common Minimum Program' for fighting the general elections. The opposition strategy on the Pulwama terror attack that happened on February 14 may also come up for discussion. The decision to formulate a Common Minimum Program was mooted at the February 13 meeting of opposition leaders that included the Congress.
Left is unlikely to attend tomorrow's meeting, said sources
The last meeting was attended by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Banerjee, AAP's chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah, among others. While leaders of a number of parties are likely to attend the February 27 meeting, sources say the Left is unlikely to attend.
