Teenager mutilated, murdered: Main suspect is a Class 12 student
Two days after a teenager's mutilated body was found in Jind, Haryana, police have said a Class 12 student is the main suspect. Six people from her native Jhansa village have been detained, but the main accused, her neighbor and possibly a minor, is on the run. A month ago, a five-year-old was found raped, mutilated with a wooden stick and murdered in Hisar.
Girl's mutilated body found near canal
On Friday evening, the body of a 15-year-old was found near a canal in Budhakhera village. Her private parts were mutilated, liver ruptured, and she had no clothes on her lower body. There were injuries on her face and insides of her mouth as well. The damage to her body seems to have been done after she was drowned and murdered, said forensic officials.
She could have been saved if police acted promptly: Father
The girl had gone missing on January 9. The family had registered a complaint the same day. But cops found her body only on January 12. Doctors confirmed she was murdered 24-48 hours earlier, reported HT. "Had the police acted on our complaint quickly, our daughter may have been alive," her father said. Police say teams have been formed to nab the main accused.
A month ago, a five-year-old in Hisar was tortured, murdered
In early December, residents of Uklana village shut shops and blocked roads after the body of a five-year-old girl was found in Hisar. Bruises were found on her neck, shoulders and waist. Reportedly, 16cm of a 24cm-long stick was found inside her that had damaged her uterus and intestines. The incident came just a week before the fifth anniversary of the brutal Nirbhaya gangrape.
