We often hear names of car models such as 'Grey Ghost', 'Verito Vibe' or 'Scorpio'. However, the odds of finding one in an Indian language are rare.
Well, Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group, has offered the Internet an opportunity to come up with a name for his new car. And, he will prefer names in an Indian language.
Also, there is a prize involved.

Mahindra adds all-new Mahindra Alturas G4 to his collection
On Wednesday, Mahindra took to Twitter to share the picture of the all-new Mahindra Alturas G4 premium SUV, which he recently added to his garage.
Prior to Alturas G4, Mahindra had added the TUV 300 to his collection and took naming suggestions from his followers on Twitter.
And, now, he asked netizens for a nickname for his "new beautiful beast".

Two winners will get die-cast scale models
Mahindra further said that this time he would prefer to use a name from an Indian language. The two winners, whose suggestions will catch his eye, will get Mahindra die-cast scale models, the business tycoon mentioned.

Twitter comes up with various names in different Indian languages
As soon as Mahindra posted the opportunity, Twitter started obliging.
People from all across India have suggested names in their mother tongue.
One netizen wrote, "Try Buudusuri'. It's a Kannada word. It means 'Grey animal'."
Another suggested, "JAYATU....in Sanskrit......This was part of Ramayana which can be considered."
Many suggestions in Hindi also came, such as, "Mann mohak", "Kaali", "Maha Kaali", "Mahindra Baaz".

A little about the new Mahindra Alturas G4
Mahindra Alturas G4 is the new offering from the automaker and was launched last year.
It is loaded to the grills and comes with a 360-degree camera system, MID unit, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and ventilated front seats.
Its price starts at Rs. 26.95 lakh for 2WD version.
For top-end 4X4 version for AWD, the price is Rs. 29.95 lakh.
