Maharashtra: Chicken 'disturbs' woman's sleep, she approaches police
For many of us, sleep is paramount. We don't want anything to disturb our affair with our cozy beds. We don't want our parents to wake us up or our house-helps to switch off fans while we are dreaming. But a Maharashtra woman took her love for sleep a notch higher when she complained to police against a rooster. Crazy world, right?
Rooster starts crowing every dawn: Woman told police
The incident was reported from Pune district on Friday. The woman, a resident of Somwar Peth area, told Samarth police station that her sleep was disturbed every day due to a rooster. The rooster (being a rooster) started crowing in front of her house every dawn. This disturbed her sleep. The complainant wants police to take action against the rooster and its owner.
Woman doesn't even live in the house, was visiting sister
Speaking on the peculiar case, the police said the woman doesn't live in the house. "She had come to her sister's house for a few days and left the place after submitting the application," said the police. Meanwhile, the woman's sister downplayed the incident and called the complainant "eccentric". Notably, no formal complaint has been registered by the police.
Earlier, a rooster was detained for pecking a girl
As it turns out, this isn't the first incident related to a rooster which made it to the news. In February this year, Madhya Pradesh police "detained" an adult male chicken for pecking a girl in the neighborhood. After the bird's foster mother was summoned, she started crying. She told police officials to arrest her, instead. Finally, the rooster was released with a warning.
