Maharashtra: Boat carrying 40 students capsizes in sea; 4 dead
What's the story
In a tragic incident, at least four children lost their lives as a boat carrying as many as 40 school students overturned in Maharashtra's Dahanu town this morning.
The tragedy took place only two nautical miles (about 3.7 km) away from the Dahanu seashore.
The search and rescue operations are underway; 25 children have been rescued while 11 are reportedly missing.

Boat capsized due to overload
Search operations to locate the missing children are underway. Those who were rescued have been admitted to a hospital. Initial reports suggest that the boat had overturned in the sea because of overloading. Dahanu is a coastal town in Maharashtra's Palghar district.
