MP-shocker: Six, including a minor, raped teen for 16 months
In a horrific incident, a 16-year-old teen was raped for over a year by six men in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. The accused include a 50-year-old catering contractor, his adult son and his 16-year-old nephew, among others. Acting on the complaint of the victim's father, police arrested all six on Saturday. Victim left studies after her mother died
The abuse started in March 2018, when the victim was 15 years old. She was studying in Class 9 and lived in a hostel. However, the victim had to leave her studies after her mother's death. Along with her younger sister, she started living with her father, who works as a watchman at a commercial building. The 50-year-old contractor lived in the same neighborhood.
Man showed porn clips to victim, raped her repeatedly
According to NDTV, the contractor asked the victim to come to his house to take care of his children. He offered money in return. Later, he started showing her porn videos on his mobile and raped her repeatedly. The contractor's 23-year-old son, who is a law student, also raped the victim. Not only this, but the son also threatened to make the matter public.
Victim sought help from contractor's nephew, he raped her too
After a few weeks, the victim borrowed the cell phone of the contractor's 16-year-old nephew to tell her friend about the crime. But the nephew also raped her, and accused her of having an affair with her school friend. He threatened to tell her father too. His brother, who is 18 years old, also joined the list of abusers.
Violated for months, victim told her father about crime
This wasn't it. After two men in the neighborhood learned of the incident, they also raped the survivor. After months of abuse, the victim finally confided in her father who approached the police. Confirming the arrests, Tahzeeb Qazi, in-charge of Tukoganj police station, said, "The arrested men included the 50-year-old catering contractor, his law student son and his nephews, aged 16 and 18."
