Madhavi Raje, mother of Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, dies
Madhavi Raje Scindia, mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Rajmata of the Gwalior royal family, passed away on Wednesday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. She had been receiving treatment at AIIMS for the past three months. An official statement from Scindia's office confirmed her death stating, "It is with profound sadness that we wish to inform that Rajmata (Madhvi Raje) is no more."
Madhavi Raje's health struggles and condolences
Madhavi Raje was on a ventilator in her last few days, suffering from pneumonia and sepsis. According to reports, she was in a critical condition for the last couple of months. Madhya Pradesh BJP president VD Sharma expressed his condolences to Union Minister Scindia on social media, stating, "I was saddened to learn that honorable Rajmata of Gwalior, Madhavi Raje Scindia, is no more. May she find eternal peace in heavenly abode."
