In UP, student blames love life for not studying well
Board students of Uttar Pradesh have apparently made it a point to tell examining teachers about their funny, romantic, and sob stories. Teachers checking papers have been receiving cash and notes pleading for pass marks. One student wrote he couldn't study as he fell in love with Pooja. He just drew a heart pierced by an arrow in the blank chemistry sheet.
"I love my Pooja," writes student instead of answers
Instead of writing answers for questions, the student gave an elaborate description of his heart's state. He wrote, "Yeh mohabbat bhi kya cheez hai, na jeene deti hai aur na marne... Sir, iss love story ne padhai se duur kar diya warna... " Translation: "What is this love, doesn't let me live, doesn't let me die. Sir, this love didn't let me study either, otherwise..."
Leaving money with sheets to emotional blackmail, students try all
A teacher said getting currency notes with papers has become the new normal. The notes are written to get sympathy, like when an examinee wrote his father will kill him if he fails. Another student wrote, "Guruji ko copy kholne se pehle namaskar. Guruji, pas kar dein. Chitthi tu ja sir ke pass, sir ki marzi fail karein ya pass"
Exam results expected by third week of April
The evaluation process began on March 17. Reportedly, 1.46 lakh teachers are evaluating over 5.5 crore copies of Class X and XII, across 248 centres in the state. The result is expected in the third week of April to facilitate further admissions of students.
