India became global superpower because of Lord Ram: UP Minister
A Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister said that once a Ram temple is built in Ayodhya, it would "restore the glorious history" of the town, asserting that public sentiment across India was "in favor" of building it. "Whether it is the government or any other institution (in the country), everyone must respect the public sentiment," said Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary today during an interview in Lucknow.
Chaudhary says India owes its identity to Lord Ram
Claiming that the world is keeping a watch over the Ayodhya issue developments, the Minister affirmed that India "owes its identity to Lord Ram". Going further, Chaudhary said, "Subsequently, lakhs of tourists will visit the place and it will eventually give a boost to tourism."
Lord Ram is a personality, which is incomparable: Minister
The former BSP member also said the aim of the recently-organized 'Deepotsav' in Ayodhya was to send a message across the globe that "people should learn a lesson from the life of the Maryada Purushottam, who made India a global superpower". "Lord Ram is a personality, which is incomparable, be it as a son or warrior. Lord Ram is our role model," he added.
No attention given to Ayodhya until Yogi became CM: Chaudhary
The Minister claimed that during the Mughal rule, British rule, and even after decades of Independence, no attention was paid to the development of Ayodhya. "It was only after Yogi Adityanath became the UP CM that attention was paid for Ayodhya's beautification and to enhance its grandeur. In the last 100 years, Ayodhya was virtually left to its own fate," Chaudhary said.
