Summer is here and college students across the country must be busy trying to find internships that offer a great learning experience. India's most premier technical institutions, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), also offer some internship opportunities for students. Internships at IITs are a great opportunity to gain exposure and experience. Here are a few internships currently being offered by some IITs.
About the internship offered by IIT Kharagpur
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) is offering Summer Internships for 2019. IIT-KGP's website says the Department hosts a number of interns during June-July every year who are exposed to "cutting edge research problems and trained in world-class technologies." Applications are currently being accepted by the IIT; the deadline is 31 March (5:00 pm).
IIT Bhubaneswar is also offering internships
IIT-Bhubaneswar is also offering internships for students registered for a degree in government-founded technical institutions and those referred by educational academies. Internships are available in Basic Sciences, Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences, Electrical Sciences, Infrastructure, Mechanical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, and Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The last date for online applications is 31 March; other details are available on IITBBS's website.
Summer internship programme at IIT Ropar
IIT-Ropar's Summer Internship Programme 2019 is also currently open. Students registered for a degree at any academic institution can apply for internships in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Humanities & Social Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Material and Metallurgical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering.
