How to link Aadhaar with LPG connection
The Indian government allows citizens to receive 12 LPG cylinders every year at subsidized rates. Under the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme, the subsidy is transferred directly to your bank account. Linking Aadhaar is mandatory for it as it ensures a smooth process. There are several ways to link Aadhaar to your LPG connection. Here's a complete guide.
Linking Aadhaar via call or SMS
To link Aadhaar to LPG connection, you can simply call up your provider and follow instructions. Every provider - Indane, HP and Bharat Gas - have their own helplines and different numbers for different districts. Alternatively, you could send an SMS instead. Visit https://indane.co.in/aadhaar-seeding.php (for Indane), www.ebharatgas.com/pages/Customer_Care/CC_IVRSInfo.html (for Bharat Gas), or www.hindustanpetroleum.com/hpanytime (for HP) to find out your district number and the specific steps.
Linking Aadhaar on the internet
To link the two online, visit www.rasf.uidai.gov.in/seeding/User/ResidentSelfSeedingpds.aspx and enter necessary details. Select 'LPG' in Benefit type. Select 'IOCL' for Indane or HP Gas and 'BPCL' for Bharat Gas. Select your distributor name and enter consumer number. Enter other relevant details like mobile number, address and Aadhaar details, then click on 'Submit'. Enter the OTP received to complete the process.
Linking Aadhaar via post or physical visit
You could choose to download the subsidy application form from your provider's website, print it, fill it and submit it to the distributor's officer. You could even post the duly filled form with the required documents to the address mentioned in it.
