How has the fight of LGBT community turned against Hindutva
Find what you love and let it kill you, for it is better to be killed by a loved one. This is exactly what LGBT community is doing by joining hands with the activists, except in this case, they are being made to believe that activists are fighting for them. It is, in fact, the exact opposite. They have hijacked the movement of the community for their own political hate-filled motives, against one ideology, against one party. And, that is how the whole fight has now turned against Hindutva.
BJP leaders have wronged them, with their motormouths
BJP is that VC-funded start-up whose upper management has a problem in delegating. It is also in that growth stage where there is no time to groom the middle management. End result? Chaotic growth. Time and again, we have seen BJP leaders tomtoming about saving Hinduism from LGBT community. They have termed homosexuality 'unnatural', 'a curable disease' or even 'dangerous to social morality'. It is hard to ignore their hatred, but it is also juvenile to expect empathy from politicians of any party.
Before you jump guns, they said this too
In March 2016, RSS Joint General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale had said, "I don't think homosexuality should be considered a criminal offense as long as it does not affect the lives of others in society."
But, homosexuality was decriminalized under BJP regime. Never forget!
To recall, Congress' leader Ghulam Nabi Azad had called homosexuality a disease, just a few years back. And, while there were well-intentioned leaders like Shashi Tharoor in Congress regime, it is imperative to note that homosexuality was recriminalized when Congress was in power. They didn't act, when they could. Although the credit to take a progressive stand goes entirely to the then CJI Dipak Misra and team, the reading down of Section 377 happened when the seemingly anti-minority party was in power.
The pertinent question: Is it a homogeneous community? No
But, we are not discussing politicians and their fickle-minded thoughts today. Rather, the pertinent question is - how and why did the LGBT community turn homogeneous? Why has it become a fight against Hindutva? Why are they propagating Leftist ideology? And, the even more important question is - are they? Or is it media's doing? To a logical mind, it is impossible to believe that they all have the same ideology? Do all heterosexuals love Hindutva/Hinduism? Certainly not!
Why this 'Wire-d' selective rage?
When Kinnar Akhara head voiced views, her caste was questioned
Now, picture this: A few days back, Laxmi Narayn Tripathi, head of the Ujjain-based Kinnar Akhara, said, "Whether anybody is gay, lesbian, transgender, whatever is anybody sexuality... the biggest thing is the Hindu sanatan dharma. And the sanatan vedic practice has never questioned anyone's sexuality. Our religion has space for everyone... it takes every one along." And, how did the elitist liberals react? They questioned her caste. Slow claps, please?
How they attacked her caste, and let that sink in
They issued a statement which said, "Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, a dominant-caste Brahmin trans woman, has been appealing to Hindutva ideology and justifying the existence of the caste system in India ever since she began aspiring for a political position within the current ruling party."
There are many non-homogeneous gays, and why not
Caste is the last resort of Left liberals
Whatever be the question, caste is the answer, for Left liberals. Does JNU give a degree in casteism? They try to do funny laundry, and point to the caste of a scientist, who had tirelessly worked with them. You disagree with them, they remind you of your caste. They call our Gods name, and before we can react, they again utter the C word. We get it, caste and religion sell for you guys. But, this is 2018, please up your game. Attack our professions, may be?
Dear LGBT community, don't let them rule your narrative
The very fact that LGBT community highlights is that humans can't be boxed, that plurality has to be accepted and celebrated. Then, why are you letting a particular group with their selective biases and hidden agendas rule your narrative? These pseudo-liberals may support you now, but the moment you question them, they will single you out. It is your fight, and you have come this far because love was the guiding factor. Now is not the time to give in. Let love be love, please?
