J&K: 4 LeT militants booked for killing of 3 youths
Jammu and Kashmir police today filed a charge-sheet against four Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in connection with the killing of three youths in J&K's Baramulla district in April this year. Three youths, identified as Irfan Ahmad Sheikh alias Asif Sheikh, Mohammad Asgar Sheikh alias Afsar Khan, and Haseeb Nabi Khan, all residents of Baramulla district were killed on April 30 this year.
Two militants arrested, two absconding
Three of the charge-sheeted LeT militants include Aijaz Gojri, Bilal Najar, and Shoaib Akhoon. Among the four, two militants, Gojri and Najar were arrested, while Akhoon and the fourth are still at large, a police spokesman said. Four accomplices who abetted in the commission of terror crime have also been arrested and charge-sheeted in the case, he said.
Two AK series rifles and a pistol recovered
The spokesman said weapons including two AK series rifles and a pistol were also produced before the court. The copy of the opinion from Forensic Science Laboratory confirming that bullets recovered on the scene of crime were fired by the same weapon has also been appended in the charge-sheet along with the other oral and scientific evidence including the vehicle used in the crime.
