5 Odisha police jawans killed in a blast by Maoists
At least five jawans of Odisha State Armed Police (OSAP) were reportedly killed and 20 others seriously wounded in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Mogarguma village near the Sunki-Salur highway in Odisha's Koraput district. There is no official confirmation on the blast or the number of casualties. The IED was detonated by suspected Maoists. The death toll is expected to rise.
Intense blast threw bus 70 feet off the road
The blast reportedly targeted a mini-bus carrying 70 jawans and its intensity was so severe that the bus fell down 70 feet off the road.
