Kerala man confesses to killing 6, including family members, girlfriend

A 23-year-old man from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, identified as Afan, walked into the Venjaramoodu police station on Monday evening and confessed to murdering six people.
The victims include his teenage brother Ahasan, grandmother Salma Beevi, paternal uncle Lateef, aunt Shahiha, and girlfriend Farshana.
His mother was also attacked and is currently in critical condition at the Medical College Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.

Police confirm 5 deaths, investigation underway
The police have thus far confirmed five of the six deaths claimed by Afan. The murders were committed at three different locations in Venjaramoodu area near Thiruvananthapuram.
After confessing, Afan told police he had consumed poison. He was immediately rushed to the Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The authorities are yet to ascertain a motive behind these killings and have launched a detailed investigation into this mass murder case.
