Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport has been awarded the coveted ACI ASQ Award for 'Best Airport for Arrivals Globally' in 2024.
This is the third consecutive time that the airport has been conferred with this honor.
The award is given by ACI World, a globally recognized program that assesses airports based on passenger feedback. Evaluation parameters include comfort, cleanliness, service quality, convenience, etc.

Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) announced the award in a press release, noting that passengers have consistently praised the airport for its efficient arrival procedures.
These include streamlined immigration and customs checks, high-speed Wi-Fi, fast baggage delivery, and a seamless process to ensure a smooth, hassle-free arrival experience.
"The ongoing positive feedback regarding the overall cleanliness of the airport has significantly contributed to enhancing the arrival experience, offering passengers enhanced comfort and convenience," the release said.
Evaluation process
ACI ASQ program evaluates airports on key attributes
The ACI ASQ program, which presents the award, reviews airports worldwide on key attributes like comfort, cleanliness, service quality, and convenience according to the press release by BIAL on Monday.
The comprehensive assessment is based on direct feedback from passengers.
The Kempegowda International Airport handled over 40 million passengers in 2024, surpassing its previous record and achieving the status of a "large airport" globally. It plans to expand its capacity to 80-85 million by 2029.
