Kejriwal, Sisodia sang for my birthday in 2017: Sukesh Chandrasekhar
Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has made fresh allegations against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain in a new letter. He claimed they sang Bollywood song Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge on his birthday on March 25, 2017. This was to persuade him to bring in funding from Middle East and South India, he alleged.
Why does this story matter?
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Chandrasekhar for allegedly extorting money from high-profile individuals—including Rs. 200cr from former Fortis promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife Aditi Singh—by impersonating a Union Ministry official. Chandrasekhar—with 15 FIRs against him—has been in and out of jail since 2017. Before the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections, he wrote to Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena, claiming he paid "protection money" to AAP leaders.
Kejriwal, Sisodia accused of 'looting commissions'
In the five-page letter, released by Chandrasekhar's advocate on Friday, he alleged that Sisodia's arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was just the start. Sisodia "looted commissions" in every department he headed, the conman alleged. He also accused Kejriwal of being the "biggest scammer, " claiming he took Rs. 1000cr as commission and was also involved in education scams.
