    What's the story

    Two days after senior journalist Gauri Lankesh was murdered at her home in Bengaluru, Pankaj Mishra, a journalist with Hindi Daily 'Rashtriya Sahara', was shot at in Bihar's Arwal.

    He has sustained severe injuries and has been shifted to a Patna hospital.

    Mishra was attacked while he was on his way home from a bank.

    Two bullets hit his back. His condition is critical.

    According to initial investigations, robbery was the motive

    Cops say one of the two assailants who attacked him have been arrested. Prima facie the motive seems to be robbery: Mishra was carrying Rs. 1L in cash.
