J&K: 3 BSF jawans dead, 32 injured in bus accident
At least three Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers have died and 32 others sustained injuries after their bus fell into a deep gorge in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. According to reports, the accident occurred near Brell Waterhail area when the bus veered off the path and plummeted about 40 feet into a ravine. The soldiers were on their way for election duty for the second phase of the assembly election, India TV reported.

Bus was carrying 35 BSF personnel
In total, 35 BSF personnel were onboard the bus. A civilian driver was also injured in the accident, while six of the injured soldiers are in critical condition. About 900 companies, each comprising 110 personnel, were assigned to handle election responsibilities. This deployment is in addition to the presence of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
