Top priority is to develop 6 most-backward districts: Jharkhand CM
Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das said the government's priority is to develop six backward districts of the state, including Khunti, Simdega, Gumla, West Singhbhum, Pakur, and Sahibganj. "The government's priority is to develop these most backward districts," he told officials at a meeting in Ranchi. Das asked Deputy Commissioners of these districts to focus on the most backward blocks and panchayats of these districts.
Focus on health, education, self-employment, infra
CM Das also said emphasis should be given on health, education, self-employment, and infrastructure. The Jharkhand CM has also asked the Deputy Commissioners to go to a backward village every week, meet the people, know their problems and solve them. Das asked to take the services of retired teachers or youth on contract wherever teachers would be required in schools.
Districts to soon get power under Sowbhagya Yojana
Radhubar Das has also asked the six districts' Deputy Commissioners to set up poultry society so that eggs could be served in midday meals in schools. The state government would also procure eggs for midday meals. The Chief Minister also asked the authorities to speed up electricity work and provide power under the "Sowbhagya Yojana" and solve drinking water problems.
