JEE 2019: Use this tool to find the exam center
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination, has come to the rescue of the candidates appearing for the exam in April. NTA has released a Center Locator feature on JEE Main website, so that the students can easily reach the center before 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the admit cards for JEE Main were released on the official website, jeemain.nic.in, last week.
Here is how you can check the exam center
NTA will be conducting the test from April 7 to 12 in a fully computer based test format at the exam centers across India and abroad. Here is how you can locate your center: 1-Go to the JEE Main official website, jeemain.nic.in 2-Click on the 'Center Locator' tab 3-Select your exam center in the dropdown list 4-Click on the 'View Location' link.
Exam in two shifts, check admit card for exact details
The exam will be conducted in two shifts: First Shift (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and Second Shift (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). Here are the documents which students need to carry with them: 1-JEE Main Admit Card 2019's printout 2-One passport size photograph 3-A valid Photo ID proof Do keep your admit card safe and check all the details on it.
JEE Main is being conducted in two phases this year
JEE is conducted every year for admission in various engineering colleges including the prestigious ones - Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs) - and architecture colleges. It's conducted in two parts: JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. This year JEE- Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency in two phases: January and April. Every year lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam.
Step 2, JEE Advanced, to be held on May 27
JEE Advanced, scheduled on May 27 later this year, is the next step to get into the IITs and other engineering institutes. The top scorers of JEE-Main are allowed to sit for JEE-Advanced. Registrations for the same will begin after JEE-Main results are announced.
