JEE Advanced application process opens for foreign nationals: Details here
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, which is conducting the JEE Advanced 2019, has opened the registration process for the foreign candidates. The registration link is available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Meanwhile, the applications for the Indian nationals who will qualify the JEE Main cut-off will begin on May 3. The National Testing Agency hasn't declared the results for JEE Main.
Registrations will close on May 9 for foreign nationals
According to the official announcement, the registrations will close on May 9 for the foreign nationals. However, they can pay the application fees until May 10. Further, the candidates will be eligible only if they have secured at least 75% marks in their Class XII Board (or equivalent) or must be within the top 20 percentile of the successful candidates in their respective examinations.
Here are the steps to follow for registrations process
In order to register for the JEE Advanced examination, the foreign candidates should follow these simple steps: 1- Visit the official website, jeeadv.ac.in 2- Click on the registration link on the homepage 3- Click on 'Foreign Candidates Direct Registration' tab on the re-directed page 4- Read and accept the instructions mentioned 5- Fill in your basic details, upload the required documents and make payment.
Candidates born on or after October 1, 1994, are eligible
The candidates are required to submit their photograph, signature, Class X and XII certificates, identity proof, passports of both mother and father and testimonial as applicable. The registration fee for SAARC nationals is $75 and non-SAARC nationals is $150. Further service and processing charges will also be applicable. Only the candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1994, are eligible.
JEE Advanced will be conducted in six countries outside India
The foreign candidates can only sit for two consecutive attempts of JEE Advanced in two years. The examination outside India will be conducted on May 27 in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Singapore. Indian nationals will have to wait for JEE Main results
Separately, the Indian nationals will have to wait for JEE Main final rank list for registrations, as only the candidates who secure a rank in top 2,45,000 will be qualified to sit for JEE Advanced. The application fee for Indian nationals is Rs. 2,600 for general, and Rs. 1,300 for SC, ST and PwD candidates and Indian and PIO female candidates (all categories).
