Jammu: Seven-year-old girl molested by religious school teacher
A seven-and-half-year old girl was allegedly molested by her teacher at a religious school at Jammu district's Nagrota in the outskirts of the city, a police official said on Thursday. The minor girl's mother had lodged a complaint on Monday alleging that her daughter was raped by one of her teachers at the 'darsgah' (the religious school). Here's more.
Medical examination did not confirm rape
The girl's mother alleged that the girl, after returning from school, complained of pain in private parts, the police official said. A case has been registered against the accused teacher,Shahnawaz, who was arrested earlier on Wednesday. Adding that the medical examination, however, did not confirm rape, the police officer stated that further investigation into the case was going on.
