Jaipur: Man shoots, stabs wife before turning knife on himself
A 40-year-old man stabbed himself in Jaipur after shooting his wife with a country-made pistol and stabbing her after a tiff, police said. Jitendra Sharma (40) and his wife Neera (35) had a dispute yesterday night. In a fit of rage, Sharma opened fire on his wife and stabbed her. Later, he stabbed himself, SHO, Shipra Path police station, Surendra Yadav said.
The couple is undergoing treatment at a state-run hospital
The police official said that the couple was undergoing treatment at a state-run hospital and that a case was registered against Sharma under IPC section 307 and sections of the Arms Act on the basis of the statement recorded by his wife. Preliminary investigation has found that Sharma, who was posted in the irrigation department, was suffering from paralysis from the last seven years.
