MP: Wife hires contract-killers to cut off 'rapist' husband's genitals
In a shocking turn of events, the Jabalpur police on Saturday arrested the wife of one Dr Shafatullah Khan in connection to his murder. Khan was killed on Tuesday night at his home. The 45-year-old wife, Ayesha, had hired henchmen to cut off her husband's genitals as he was allegedly raping young girls. But the attack ended up in murder.
Ayesha claims her husband raped young girls
Ayesha was helped by her niece Nandini and her husband Pawan Vishwakarma. The investigation revealed Ayesha, who married Khan in 1991, was furious at his lifestyle; he reportedly used to lure young girls by promising them jobs and then raped them. He had also formed illicit relationships with other women. Khan allegedly raped Nandini when she was 11-years-old and got her pregnant.
Nandini's husband helped Ayesha hire men for the job
It was Pawan who put Rajendra Malviya and Dheeraj, contract-killers, in touch with Ayesha, who said she 'was forced to act.' The initial plan was to bobbitise Khan, but Pawan decided it'd be better to kill him. The men arrived in Jabalpur on June 12.
Murder staged as robbery to mislead police
The family had planned to stage the murder as a robbery. The police initially were convinced as the men took jewelry and cash from Khan's house and locked Ayesha, her daughter and grandson in the bathroom. But further investigation revealed discrepancies in Nandini's statement, and gave away the real story. Ayesha, Nandini, and Rajendra have been arrested, while Pawan and Dheeraj are absconding.
