J&K: Two militants, including top LeT commander, killed in encounter

What's the story
One of the two terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore in Jammu & Kashmir yesterday was identified as a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander who was active in north Kashmir for past three years.
The police identified him as Abu Maaz, a Pakistani national.
The other terrorist killed in the operation in Bomai was identified as Abdul Majeed Mir alias Sameer.

Maaz was involved in many terror activities in Sopore, Handwara
A spokesman said Maaz had a criminal record since 2015 and he was involved in series of terror activities in the area, particularly in Sopore and Handwara.
Maaz also took part in at least a dozen attacks in which three civilians and an Army officer were killed.
"Several cases were registered against him in police stations across the Valley," he added.
